Living Well in Peace

When concern for the economic and technological progress is
not accompanied by concern for the balance of the ecosystem, our
earth is inevitably exposed to serious environmental damage, with
consequent harm to human beings.  Blatant disrespect for the
environment will continue as long as the earth and its potential are
seen merely as objects for immediate use and consumption, to be
manipulated by an unbridled desire for profits.
Pope John Paul II

Practicing Social Justice

Living Spiritual Nutrition is defined as the consumption and integration of food,
information and ideas that promote Unity, Environmental Sustainability,
Social Justice and a Respect of Life for every Human Being on this Earth.

Peace is accepting that all People are created  equal, all came to this
place called Earth in the same manner and will leave by the same
means.  This acceptance gives all Human Beings the same unalienable
right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

What creates the differences which lead to hate, fear, war and
         feelings of superiority or inferiority?

The  culture, location and  circumstances  into which a person is
born reflects the value system and  beliefs about living which each
person adopts as their own due to the strong emotional bond
between infants and their caregivers.

As people get older their beliefs are further influenced by their social
peer group,
education, media, music, and the current political status of the
country in which they dwell.   These beliefs and cultural habits
developed as a reaction to experiences are passed on to future
generations as  “truths”  and take on a life of their own as
differences and conflicts…some of which are great enough
to fight and kill over.

These cultural conflicts have grown in direct proportion to
the growth in population and expansion of technology
in the world as it exists today to the point of Crisis.

Crisis means opportunity to change beliefs through cultural
communication and understanding that we are all on the same
Earth sharing the same resources and each person on Earth is
entitled to share these resources while also being accountable for
the amount of waste, pollution and toxicity they are contributing
to the Earth

It’s 3:23 in the morning and I’m
awake because my great
grandchildren won't let me sleep.

My great grandchildren ask me in
dreams
“What did you do while the planet was
plundered?
What did you do when the Earth was
unraveling?
Surely you did something when the
seasons started failing,
As the mammals, reptiles, birds were
all dying.
Did you fill the streets with protest
when democracy was stolen?
What did you do once you knew?”
Drew Del

This is my Father's world,
And to my list'ning ears
All nature sings, and round
me rings the music of the
spheres.
This is my Father's world, I
rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies
and seas--His hand the
wonders wrought.
This is my Father's world,
The birds their carols raise;
The morning light, the lily
white  Declare their
maker's praise.
This is my Father's world,
He shines in all that's fair;
In the rustling grass, I hear
him pass, He speaks to me
everywhere.
